Sake
Based in the Japanese foodie destination of Kanazawa and established in 1625, Fukumitsuya is known as one of the finest sake breweries in the area.
The exceptional quality of sake produced at the Fukumitsuya brewery comes down to four key attributes.
- Traditional Skills: Passed down from generation to generation, the skilled brewers at Fukumitsuya listen to what nature provides, and understand what to do. This process can never be replaced by machines.
- Blessed Water: The water used to brew their sakes, begins as rain and snow falling at the foot of the Mt. Hakusan. This water spends at least 100 years slowly filtering through deep underground until it reaches the well at Fukumitsuya, containing the minerals that are necessary for fermentation.
- Premium Rice: Since 1960, Fukumitsuya has cooperated with sake rice farmers to produce great sake rice to brew their sakes.
- 100% Junmai Brewery: As part of their commitment to quality and customer satisfaction, Fukumitsuya is a “Junmai-Gura”, a brewery that makes only Junmai sakes.
